Critical New Mississippi River Bridge Project Meeting

Please see attached notice of May 15, 2009 meeting about the New Mississippi River Bridge Project. It is critical that you attend because IDOT and MODOT are considering establishing on this major construction project as a pilot program separate goals for minorities and women, as opposed to having the normal federal DBE (Disadvantaged Business Enterprise) goal, which is inclusive of both minorities and women, and which has historically resulted in minorities getting just a small share of the contracts and the work.
